Warriors’ Stephen Curry Doubtful For Game 6 vs. Celtics After Reported Injury
Celtics Hold 3-2 Series Lead
Stephen Curry is doubtful for Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Curry reportedly suffered a foot injury in Game 3 and has been playing through it since.
Curry’s Injury
An MRI on Tuesday confirmed the injury, and Curry is now considered doubtful for Game 6. If Curry is unable to play, it would be a major blow to the Warriors, who are already trailing 3-2 in the series.
Impact on the Warriors
Curry is the Warriors’ leading scorer and playmaker, and his absence would be a major loss for the team. The Warriors would likely start Klay Thompson in Curry’s place, but Thompson is not the same player he was before his two ACL injuries.
Warriors’ Chances of Winning
If Curry is unable to play, the Warriors’ chances of winning the NBA championship would be greatly diminished. The Celtics are a tough opponent, and they are playing with a lot of confidence right now. Without Curry, the Warriors will have a difficult time matching the Celtics’ intensity and firepower.
Other Injuries
In addition to Curry’s injury, the Warriors are also dealing with injuries to Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala. Thompson is playing through a knee injury, Green is dealing with a back injury, and Iguodala is nursing a neck injury.
